BreedSmart

BreedSmart was created from user demand. Originally, an iOS app was created to solve a personal need with managing data related to bird breeding programs. Over time the user base grew and many of those users had other breeding programs that were not birds and did not fit nicely into the data structure that BirdBreeder was designed around. After collecting a great deal of feedback from breeders of all sorts of other animals including breeders of livestock like goats, pigs, sheep and cattle as well as breeder of pets like dogs, cats, hedgehogs, sugar gliders and more, we developed BreedSmart. This app is designed to give all the great benefits of a hand held database like birdBreeder to those who breed animals with slightly different characteristics.

With the BreedSmart app, just like with BirdBreeder, you can record and reference your data while your animal sits in front of you, no need to be tied to a computer. Record health records for each animal and quickly find out the last time medication was administered or what tests had been conducted. Easily record data on every mating or finances and analyze how the outcomes are trending. Simply, save time and make better decisions for your animals and your breeding program. You may not care about capturing the same data as the next person but you certainly would not want to lose the data you have already entered, so custom data field capture and database backup is built into the app. This app was built from the learnings of BirdBreeder and we hope to continue to improve it though user requests just as we have with BirdBreeder.
